How to Adjust Length

Measure the total thickness of your cabinet door or drawer front, then add 1/4" (6 mm) for thread engagement into the handle.
Thread a nut onto the screw past the desired break line (optional, helps straighten threads).
Grip the screw firmly with two pairs of pliers on either side of the scored groove, or use the wire-cutter notch on standard multi-purpose pliers.
Bend gently back and forth until the section snaps cleanly at the groove.
